EMŐKE UJJ
La trayectoria artística de la destacada pianista húngara EMÖKE UJJ es de lo más versátil tanto como apasionada solista que tuvo actuaciones en varios continentes, siendo elogiada por la crítica internacional. Como apreciada maestra desarrolló su formación profesional en el Conservatorio Franz Liszt en Hungría así como el postgrado de Doctorado en Música en la University of North of Texas en los Estados Unidos.
Desde el año 2004 reside en México y es maestra de alumnos mexicanos y extranjeros de todos los niveles con resultados sonoros.
Su trayectoria artística y pedagógica incluye una licenciatura en piano, durante la que obtiene el 3er lugar en el Concurso Nacional de Piano Bartók (Hungría, 1996). Entre 1996 a 1999 trabaja como acompañante para los percusionistas del Conservatorio Franz Liszt; y para flautistas y fagotistas en concursos nacionales. Cursa la Maestría en Ejecución Pianística en el Conservatorio Franz Liszt en Debrecen, Hungría.
Posteriormente viaja a los Estados Unidos de América para realizar sus estudios de doctorado. En 2002 graba el CD de composiciones originales "Swimming in Dark Water" (Nadando en Aguas Oscuras). En mayo del 2004 recibe el Doctorado en Música (DMA) por la University of North Texas (UNT), en Denton, Texas, ahí estudia piano con la Dra. Pamela Mia Paul y teoría de la música con el Dr. Timothy Jackson.
Reside en Cancún, México desde 2004. En ese año toca en vivo en la radio nacional húngara; así como en Japón y EEUU en conciertos y festivales (Festival Internacional Liszt donde tiene un par de estrenos mundiales). La carrera de la Dra. Ujj incluye la producción y organización de eventos culturales de primer nivel como el Festival Cultural Hungría en Cancún, Quintana Roo que desde el 2006 se lleva a cabo anualmente, con el apoyo de la Embajada de Hungría en México y a partir de 2010 con el de la Secretaría de Cultura del Estado. Ella es la fundadora del Festival de Música de Cámara en Cancún en 2012 y del Festival de Piano en Cancún en 2023.
En 2007 participa en el Festival Agustín Lara en Veracruz y en el VIII Simposio organizado por el CENCREM (Centro Nacional de Creación Musical) en Querétaro, ahí estrena una obra original escrita especialmente para ella (Heberto Alcázar Leyva). En primavera del 2008 graba un CD de música contemporánea para piano a cuatro manos con la pianista japonesa Eri Yoshimura. En 2009 produce el programa de radio "Los pianistas más grandes del siglo XX" en Radio Ayuntamiento de Cancún. Más de 200 conciertos en México: conciertos didácticos con la música de Wolfgang A. Mozart, conciertos de música instrumental y vocal, orquesta y coro en todo el Estado de Quintana Roo: Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Tulúm, Chetumal, Playa del Carmen, José María Morelos, Kantunilkín, Bacalar y Cozumel. En 2010 su artículo: Estudio sobre el ritmo de Bartók fue publicado en el Journal of Piano Music en Corea (Revista oficial de la Asociación de Piano de Corea del Sur).
A lo largo de su fructífera carrera ha sido profesora de piano de cerca de 400 alumnos, varios de los cuales han ingresado a universidades de prestigio tanto en Estados Unidos (Berkeley, Boston), Hungría (Conservatorio Franz Liszt) y México (Morelia, Colima y Xalapa). En 2010 se desarrolla como pianista acompañante del Ballet de Cámara del Estado, desde 2011 como solista de varias orquestas como de la Sinfónica de Quintana Roo, Orquesta Filarmónica de Sonora OFS, Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de Puebla. Presentó solo conciertos en números salas importantes: en el Conservatorio de Música del Estado de México en Toluca; en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música en la Ciudad de México; en la AUKA Escuela de Música en Mexicali y en la Escuela de Artes de la Piedad, Michoacán.

She is the founder and organizer of the Hungarian Cultural Festival that is presented annually in Cancún, Mexico in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of the State of Quintana Roo and the valuable support of the Hungarian Embassy in Mexico. Her artistic and pedagogical career includes a degree in piano, during which she obtained the 3rd place in the Bartók National Piano Competition (Hungary, 1996). Between 1996 and 1999 she worked as an accompanist for the percussionists of the Franz Liszt Conservatory; and for flutists and bassoonists in national competitions. She holds a Masters Degree in Piano Performance at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Debrecen, Hungary. Later she travels to the United States of America to carry out her doctoral studies in music performance. In 2002 she recorded the CD of original compositions "Swimming in Dark Water". In May, 2004 she received a Doctorate in Music (DMA) from the University of North Texas (UNT), in Denton, Texas, where she studied piano with Dr. Pamela Mia Paul and music theory with Dr.Timothy Jackson. She has lived in Cancún, Mexico since 2004. In that year she played live on the Hungarian national radio; as well as in Japan and USA in concerts and festivals (Liszt International Festival where it has a couple of world premieres).
Dr. Ujj's career includes the production and organization of first level cultural events such as the Hungary Cultural Festival in Cancún, that since 2006 is carried out annually, with the support of the Embassy of Hungary in Mexico and since 2010 with that of the Ministry of Culture of the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. She is the founder of the Chamber Music Festival in Cancún in 2012 and the Piano Festival in Cancún in 2023. In 2007 she participated in the Agustín Lara Festival in Veracruz and in the VIII Symposium organized by the CENCREM (National Center for Musical Creation) in Querétaro, where she premiered an original work written especially for her (Heberto Alcázar Leyva). In 2009 she produced the radio program Los pianistas más grandes del siglo XX on Radio Ayuntamiento de Cancún. More than 200 concerts in Mexico: didactic concerts with the music of Wolfgang A. Mozart, chamber music concerts, vocal accompanying, orchestra and choir accompanying throughout the State of Quintana Roo: Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Tulum, Chetumal, Playa del Carmen, José María Morelos, Kantunilkín, Bacalar and Cozumel. In 2010 her article: Study on Bartók' Rhythm was published in the Journal of Piano Music in Korea (Official Journal of the South Korean Piano Association).
Throughout her fruitful career she has taught piano to about 400 students, several of whom have entered prestigious universities in the United States (Berkeley, Boston), Hungary (Franz Liszt Conservatory) and Mexico (Morelia, Colima and Xalapa). In 2010 she developed as pianist accompanist of the State Chamber Ballet, since 2011 as soloist of several orchestras such as the Quintana Roo Symphony, Sonora Philharmonic Orchestra OFS, Symphony Orchestra of the State of Puebla. She presented only concerts in numerous important halls: at the Conservatory of Music of the State of Mexico in Toluca; at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City; at the AUKA School of Music in Mexicali and at the School of Arts of La Piedad, Michoacán.
Dr. Ujj Emőke zongoraművész és művésztanár
Miskolcon született, zenei tanulmányait Tiszaújvárosban kezdte. Zeneiskolai évei alatt 3. és 2. díjat kapott két megyei zongoraversenyen. Tanárai Orgovánné Baranyi Éva, Szűcs Zsuzsanna és Zsignár Istvánné voltak. Ezután a miskolci Bartók Béla Zeneművészeti Szakközépiskolában érettségizett és felvételt nyert a debreceni Liszt Ferenc Konzervatóriumba. Főiskolai évei alatt Grünwald Béla, mesterképzése idején pedig Dr. Duffek Mihály irányították zongora tanulmányait. Debrecenben korrepetitorként dolgozott a főiskolán, valamint a városi zeneiskolában. Főiskola évei alatt részt vett a Bartók Béla országos zongoraversenyen, ahol 3-ik helyezést ért el.
Külföldön folytatta tanulmányait az Észak-Texasi Egyetemen, ahol 2004-ben szerzett doktori fokozatot (DLA). Tanára Dr. Pamela Mia Paul, szakdolgozatának vezetője Dr. Timothy Jackson. Döntős lett a Virginiai Bartók-Prokofjev nemzetközi zongoraversenyen. Az Egyesült Államokban jelent meg „Swimming in Dark Water” c. saját albuma, amit Magyarországon is forgalmaztak 2003-ban.
2004-ben Mexikóba költözött, ahol hamarosan megalapította a cancúni Magyar Fesztivált. Az évente megrendezésre kerülő többnapos kulturális programok fő célja a magyar komolyzene és kultúra megismertetése Mexikóban. A magyar kormány és a mexikói magyar nagykövetség folyamatosan támogatja az eddig 13 alkalommal megrendezett magyar rendezvényt. 2016-ban a Magyar Köztársaság Elnöke a Magyar Arany Érdemkereszt kitüntetésben részesítette a magyar kultúra népszerűsítéséért.
Mexikói évei alatt számtalan zenei eseményen vett részt: szólisták, kórus, állami balett, operaénekesek korrepetitoraként. Koncertezett ezen kívül még az Amerikai Egyesült Államokban, Japánban, Dél-Koreában. Zongoranövendékeit több mexikói és amerikai egyetemre vették fel. A cancuni rádióban komolyzenei műsort szerkesztett spanyol nyelven. Bartókról írt tudományos angol nyelvű cikke a Dél-koreai zongoristák folyóiratában jelent meg koreai nyelven 2009-ben. A mexikói kormány didaktikus hangversenyek megrendezésére kérte fel, amin több ezer diák vett részt. Kamarazenészként több mexikói államban koncertezett. Eri Yoshimura japán zongoraművésszel négykezes hangversenyeket játszottak a világ több helyszínén és országában (Hawaii, Egyesült Államok, Japán, Magyarország, Liszt Fesztivál Gödöllő). Modern zeneszerzők négykezes műveit adták elő közös albumon: „Contemporary Piano Music for Four Hands”. Több alkalommal játszott neves mexikói hangversenytermekben szólistaként, kamarazenészként, szimfonikus zenekari szólistaként (Sonora Állami Filharmónia; Puebla Szimfonikus Zenekar; Quintana Roo Szimfonikus Zenekar; Mexikói Konzervatórium; Toluca Konzervatórium; Baja California Auka Művészeti Iskola; Michoacan Művészeti Iskola, La Piedad; Felipe Carrillo Puerto Színház, Mérida; Playa del Carmen Városi Színház).
